Detox is the first step in the recovery process and we want to ensure that your time in detox is comfortable. When you arrive at our Delray detox facility some items may be confiscated because they pose a threat to your detox process. And so, we urge everyone who comes to Detox of Delray to know what to bring to detox.

Our only goal is to ensure that everyone who comes to our facility detoxes safely and successfully. We have strict policies that are in place for your protection.

If you forget anything or didn’t bring something because you were not sure what to bring to detox, you can purchase additional items at Detox of Delray.

Know what to bring to detox is as important as knowing what not to being to detox. These 3 rules should set you up for success.

  • All toiletries MUST BE ALCOHOL FREE, even if you are not detoxing from alcohol. Check your mouth wash and cologne before packing them.
  • It’s best to bring unopened items to detox centers and rehab.
  • Its preferred that all your items fit into one carry-on sized bag which is 22 in high X 9 in deep X 14 in wide.

Bringing contraband or drug paraphernalia is not tolerated.

Always keep on you or in a safe place nearby:

  • Photo ID
  • Insurance Card
  • Prescription Card and your approved medications
  • Credit Card (small amount of cash)

Think of comfort as a priority when packing. Loose fitting, comfortable clothing is a priority. Appropriate gym gear is also acceptable.

We want everyone to be comfortable but please keep in mind that inappropriate clothing is not tolerated.

Delray Beach is a coastal town in sunny South Florida, so be sure to dress appropriately for the heat and humidity. Winter clothing is only necessary December through February if at all.

Be sure to pack enough clothing for at least 7 days for your stay at the drug detox center.

  • Toothbrush and tooth paste
  • Hair products
  • Deodorant
  • Liquid body wash
  • Shaving supplies
